Biography

In 1967 she graduated from the Istituto d’Arte “Stagio Stagi” in Pietrasanta and in 1971 obtained a degree in Sculpture from Carrara’s Academy of Fine Arts. She collaborated with internationally renowned contemporary sculptors (among whom Fernando Botero, Jeff Koons, Igor Mitoraj, Ivan Theimer, Helaine Blumenfeld and Novello Finotti), and continued her personal research in this field, focusing her attention also on the artistic object for home decorating. She has received several acknowledgements, among which the “Bronze Medal” at the Salon de Paris, 1991 and the “First Prize” at the “International Sculpture Exhibition” in Avignon, 1992.

Her large-size sculptures are found in Guam, USA West Edmonton, Canada. In 1995 she directed the restoration of the sculptures at the Convent of the Holy Infant Jesus in Singapore, creating also new elements. Among her solo exhibitions: Aspen, Colorado, USA, 1976; “Viaggio a Zig Zag”, Spazioarte Pisanello, Fondazione Toniolo, Church of S. Besides working in her own laboratory-workshop, the artist also works at the Fonderie Da Prato, Mariani and L’Arte foundries in Pietrasanta.
