Studio Artco was founded in 1998 with the scope of designing and creating artistic and industrial design sculptures using every type of material and then selling, exporting, exhibiting and promoting its art works. The company is headquartered in Seravezza, between Carrara and Pietrasanta, in a large historic building that was once a sawmill, near the marble quarries of the legendary Monte Altissimo, where Michelangelo used to extract the marble for his works. Purchased by Artco in 1999, the sawmill was partially modified in order to produce art works and to exhibit contemporary art, monumental sculptures created by local craftsmen for the international community of artists. Artco produces mainly monumental marble sculptures, designed and created by artists Nicolas Bertoux and Cynthia Sah, and subsequently installed in Italy or in other countries. Artco also creates sculptures for other artists, proposing assistance to the artist as well as the complete production of the work. The studio can design and propose original projects for sculptures, fountains, gardens, industrial design, indoor and outdoor furnishings, unique objects or in series. From the idea to the design, from the technical survey to their execution, from the purchase of the marble in the quarries to the final installation, Artco guarantees the highest quality in the production of the art work.
