Founded by Gino Barsotti at the beginning of the 1940s, the company built their first slab warehouse during the postwar period in Querceta di Seravezza, while for sawing marble they used a plant for sand production located in Pontestazzemese, later destroyed by a flood in 1996.
Still in Querceta di Seravezza, in the 1960s they opened a new block and slab warehouse with a sawing plant for marble and granite. The firm is also owner of a quarry of red marble called Amiata, located in the Maremma area. Some years ago the Barsotti group became part of Aurelia Graniti srl, subsequently transformed in Holmag sas, a firm that deals with the sale of materials (mainly in blocks) and owns a warehouse plant in Pietrasanta. Barsotti srl is still run by the Barsotti family and processes large quantities of materials coming from Italy and from several other countries. Marble, granite, onyx and travertine are sold both in blocks and in slabs. It is also possible to manufacture customized products, choosing among different kinds of finishing techniques available.
