The Ferrari & Bacci company has been working in Pietrasanta for over 60 years but it differentiates itself from the other mosaic schools for its use of the “divided-colour technique” which allows creating any shade of colour, making the end product particularly refined.

In a short time it has become leader in the field obtaining numerous orders from the USA. At the same time, the company has developed a Byzantine mosaic school where it carries out great works of art for Greek Orthodox churches. In the section dedicated to marble mosaics, the company produces flooring, tiles, tables, swimming pools and portraits for hotel chains, Arab princes and show business personalities.

In the production of the mosaics the company uses different techniques: direct, indirect on special resins (for wall mosaics), positive or on “synthetic webbing” for marble, of the lightweight variety for yacht furnishings.
Over the last few years a section dedicated to the restoration and salvaging of mosaics has also been established and this has led the company to work on important sites such as the Altare Maggiore of the Basilica Superiore of Assisi which was damaged during the earthquake in 1997 and the restoration of the Cupola of the Berlin Cathedral.
