Massimo Galleni started working with marble in 1980 as an apprentice in the workshop of the sculptor Enzo Pasquini.
One of his peculiarities lies in his rare ability to shape marble without a three-dimensional model in plaster or clay, but by simply using a photo or drawing to transform a customer's idea into a unique work of art. In 1996 he opened the shop where (along with his collaborators) he produces everything and anything possible in marble, hand-carved using traditional tools; classical, modern and religious sculptures, high relief and low relief, vases, capitals, decorative pieces, ornaments, portraits and fireplaces like the 5-m high samples produced for a private commission in Saint Petersburg.
