Marco Giannoni comes from a family of sculptors who for four generations have passed down the art and mastery of marble sculpture. He obtained his diploma from the art school in Pietrasanta and entered the family shop at a very young age. Here he refined his skills working on large pieces following religious and classical themes like "The Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci (both in low relief and in the round) commissioned for two cemeteries in New York and which took four years to complete.

In 1988 Marco opened his own studio and here diversified his activities: he now teaches students from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara, creates personal contemporary sculpture on commission in addition to dealing with the numerous artists who come to his studio to create their sculptures, looking for guidance in that complex and delicate process necessary in order to ensure the excellent quality of their work.
