Kazantjis Dimitrios was born in Volos, Greece, in 1958. After obtaining his diploma from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara, he attended a course on the restoration of gilded work at the Istituto Palazzo Spinelli in Florence and a course on mosaics at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Ravenna. He carries out conservation and restoration on works of artistic and historic significance, enhancing his professional training in line with the activities already tested at the Opera del Duomo in Florence, the Istituto Superiore di Conservazione e Restauro in Rome, the Scuola Enaip in Botticino – Brescia and Cesmar7 in Verona. He is specialized in innovative techniques and methodology of restoration of 18th and 19th century paintings as well as the restoration of wood sculptures in places of worship.
