This workshop was founded in 1989 by Stefano Giannoni and his father Aldo when, for organizational reasons, it became necessary to divide up the one large workshop belonging to the Giannoni clan who for four generations have been well known in Pietrasanta for artistic marble productions.
This is a small workshop that continues to use traditional methods where, with no particular machinery, it is still the hand that guides the chisel and drills which make sculptures in the round. Being a family-run business means that each member must cover different tasks, so Stefano and his father Aldo turn their hand to drafting, demoulding, sculpting, carving and polishing, creating what are mainly reproductions of classical Greco-Roman statues or revisitations of Michelangelo or Canova classics.
Added to this production are numerous instances of collaboration with contemporary sculptors in the creation of works of art for artists the likes of Athos Ongaro and Anne Itzykson, Borghi, Folon, Mitoraj and Kobe.
