The Museo Pesetti houses works by the master sculptor Ettò, an artist of the world, having worked both in Italy and abroad, and is dedicated to sculpture and the arts in general.
A small museum in the city where the artist was born, which he always loved and never forgot, it mostly displays works from the sculptor’s final period. These works include “L’Incompiuta”, which the artist was still working on just before he died in Milan in March 1987.
Due to space limitations, the museum displays about fifteen works in marble and stone, Ettò’s two favourite materials. Pesetti also produced many pieces in terracotta, which might be displayed in the future in rotation with those currently on view.
A catalogue edited by Giancarlo Cerri, the museum’s curator, is available at the museum and contains images of many works in the collection that are not on display due to limited space or that are kept in various public museums of modern art or private collections.
